Kraus Gaucho is a yerba mate without stems. It is produced following a unique drying process which consists of indirect warming through heat produced by a boiler. Because of this a smoke-free yerba is obtained, with an intense taste and fine flavour.

Kraus has been producing yerba since the beginning of 20th century according to family tradition. Their plantations are located in Colonia Santo Domingo Savio, San Ignacio, Misiones, Argentina.

Kraus stimulates biodiversity in agricultural crops and natural processes such as pest control and nutrient cycling. They follow Fair Trade principles and do not use child labour, promote safe workplaces and appropriate hygiene, give equal opportunities to both men and women and they guarantee fair wages to employees. In addition, Kraus employees receive a percentage of the profit.
